SMS Policy

We send SMS only to people who have a working relationship with Midsummer Productions. That includes:

• Couples who have submitted an inquiry or booked a wedding with us, and who have provided their phone number for coordination.
• Internal employees and contracted crew working on a wedding we are filming or photographing.

We do not purchase or rent phone-number lists, and we do not text anyone who has not given us their phone number directly.

All messages are transactional. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS. Typical messages include:

• Confirmations that we received your inquiry, quote, or contract.
• Reminders about your wedding day timing or upcoming payments.
• Notifications when a deliverable (your film or photo gallery) is ready.
• Replies in your client portal’s message thread, if you have not turned chat reminders off.
• Internal coordination messages between our crew on your wedding day.

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier. Message frequency varies by your engagement with us (typically 1–10 messages per month around your wedding date).

Giving us your phone number on the inquiry form alone does not opt you in. When text messaging is available, you can select the optional text-message checkbox at the end of that form. You can also opt in through your client portal account or directly with a member of our team. For account-linked numbers, our portal will send you a one-time verification code that you enter at /portal/settings to confirm the number is yours. We will not send transactional SMS to a portal account until that verification step is complete.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP (or any of: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any SMS we send you. We will immediately confirm the unsubscribe and stop all future SMS to that number.

To re-subscribe later, reply START to the same number.

For help, reply HELP and we will send you our support email and a copy of these opt-out instructions.

We treat your phone number as sensitive personal information. We use it only for the transactional purposes described above and only share it with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) to deliver the message. We do not sell or rent your phone number to anyone, ever. Mobile information, including your phone number and your consent to receive text messages, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Our public marketing site counts visits with our own visit counter, Google Analytics 4, and Vercel Analytics (page views, referrer, device type) so we can improve the site. None of them collects your phone number, and every advertising signal is turned off. The Privacy Policy lists what each one keeps and carries the switch that turns visit counting off. None of these tools run on the signed-in portal pages.
