She was about to leave for Florida, so he assumed that would be the last he saw of him. Jordan and Evan had known each other through friends, and they kept spending time together. Seven years later, her dad was telling that first-meeting story at their wedding.
Evan had been thinking about the proposal for months.
His family knew it was coming, but he told them it was still a couple of months away. Then he asked Jordan that Sunday. Over the years, his parents had already noticed that she was the person he went to first.
Before the ceremony, Jordan’s dad tried to hold back his tears and asked her, “Are you happy?” Her family had spent years getting to know Evan’s quiet, patient way.
Even her younger sister Grace knew he was the one to ask for ice cream after dinner. Now her dad was standing with Jordan just before she married him.

I had a great time going down to Tampa for this wedding. Smith and I had started out filming together as just the two of us, and having both of our wives along for this one felt like a full-circle moment. Jordan, Evan and their families were great to spend the weekend with. I really enjoyed getting to do this one with that crew.
