A Midsummer Wedding Film · Emotional
Annie and Lance
The Short Film (Film)
Before everyone took their seats.
Before the ceremony, they prayed over every chair in the space where Annie and Lance would get married. Annie had pictured her dress and flowers since she was little, but meeting Lance changed what she was looking forward to most: his face when she reached the aisle. Their day had time for that preparation, for the groomsmen to go shooting and for worship together before the ceremony. When rain came and the piano stopped working, everyone kept singing. The film holds those parts of the day alongside their vows, the reception and the walkout.

Behind the Lens
Annie’s vows.
Annie talks in her vows about the wedding she had imagined since she was little. She had thought about the dress and the flowers, then meeting Lance changed what she was most excited to see that day. I loved working with those words in the edit, especially alongside his reaction when she comes down the aisle. Having both lets us hear what she was looking forward to and see him at that same moment.
