Their friend made the introduction.
A friend introduced Alexis and Tyler on the back patio of a bar, told her Tyler thought she was hot, and promptly left them to it. When Alexis offered him her Instagram and Snapchat before she went home, he had to admit he’d already added her on both. The message he’d been hoping for finally came, and they were inseparable after that. Four years later, their letters on the wedding morning brought them right back to how excited they’d been to find each other.

Knowing their reception dance before the wedding gave me a connection I could build into the edit. We had filmed Alexis and Tyler dancing at their engagement session, so I could match that movement with their wedding-day dance. This was one of the early films where we tried that connection between the two days. It was a fun one to make, and you can see the dance transition in the opening.

Behind the Lens
The ceremony.
This was one of our early Florida weddings, and I remember how relaxed the day felt. A best man and a maid of honor stood with Alexis and Tyler at the ceremony, a smaller wedding-party arrangement than we were used to filming then. Around this wedding we were also developing our ceremony audio approach, recording a backup from the speakers alongside the microphones on the people taking part. Everything went smoothly, and the film came together easily.
